What Are Cookies?

Other Information we collect, store and record

  • User-input data: these we use to record search sessions and other visits, as well as for supporting bookmarks functionality. This is information we store in our own servers for the duration of the provision of the service to a registered user.
  • Form data for data download requests: we collect these data through forms which are made available from our website and are held on our own servers. These include personal information to identify and register a user, such as name and last name, email address, organisation etc. These data are used in order to decide the kind of access we are going to grant to the user, as well as in order to improve the service we are providing to the specific user in accordance to the Terms of Service and the relevant licence provisions.
  • Form data for receiving news and updates: after obtaining their explicit consent, we collect users’ email addresses in order to provide them with news and updates including new versions of our databases


Data Storage and Retention

All data collected through our services, either through cookies or through forms and user input, are stored on our servers for the duration of the service provision.


User Rights

Users whose data we process in order to provide the necessary services have the following rights:

  1. The right to be informed regarding the objectives of processing, their lawful basis, the data retention period and who the data will be shared with. This information is included in this policy, however, the user may request additional information.

  3. The right to rectification to correct any inaccurate personal data we may hold
  4. The right to erasure to erase data after the data subject has stopped received our services.
  5. The right to restrict processing in case this is beyond the scope of the processing objective or its lawful basis.
  6. The right to object in case there is a basis for such a request.
